TEXAS HILL

For their highly anticipated sophomore album Soldiers, Texas Hill enlisted an all-star cast of musicians and set off to track in the birthplace of Southern Soul — Muscle Shoals, Alabama. "The way in which we went about making this record is true to who we are at the core — a bunch of guys who want to make real music together, in the realest way possible," says Casey James. The title track and concept of the album as a whole makes a statement, and is a testament to the musicality that the band is grounded in. From the upbeat, driving opener "Dust and Chrome" to the somber closer "Weight of the World," elements of Soul, Blues, Gospel, Country and Southern Rock are intentionally woven into the fabric of the project's 11 tracks.
